The City Council wants to do everything possible to keep residents informed.
To accomplish this, the council on Tuesday approved the mailing of certified letters to landowners affected by possible zoning changes. The letters will go to the owners of land adjacent to property that might be rezoned. That's in addition to regular-mail letters, which go out to all affected residents, adjacent or not.Council members also discussed other ways to help better inform residents, such as signs on property that may be rezoned.
"Even if it takes personal contact, so be it," Councilman Rick Bangerter said. "It's the principle. I don't want people to not have an opportunity to comment simply because they are not aware."
