Art appraisers scoffed at a jade collector's claim Thursday that she could singlehandedly solve Malaysia's financial woes by auctioning part of her museum. Norlinah Roxanne Ng, seen with husband See Mee Chuan showing pieces from the museum in Kuala Lumpur, says her collection of 10,800 pieces is worth $1.6 trillion. She said she was willing to sell nearly a third of her collection. "They have gone a bit overboard in estimating the value of the collection," said one international appraiser.
