Police throughout Utah County were searching for a gunman who robbed a bank here Wednesday morning.
A man entered First Security Bank, 99 W. Main, Lehi, about 9 a.m. and demanded money from a teller at gunpoint, police said. The man left the bank and drove away in a white passenger car.Police from several cities attempted to set up a perimeter but were unsuccessful in locating the gunman after about an hour. Police in Pleasant Grove and a Utah Highway Patrol trooper pulled over motorists they believed might fit the suspect's description, but later realized neither of the motorists was the robber.
The man was described as 6 feet tall, with a thin build and a small mustache. He reportedly carried a black revolver into the bank. The amount of money taken was unknown.
