Elizabeth O'Very, 97, died March 1, 1998 in Salt Lake City.
She was born January 9, 1901 in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to David and Sarah Thomas Abraham. She attended School in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School in 1918. Elizabeth and Clarence O'Very were married in Rock Springs on May 3, 1920. Their marriage was solemnized later in the LDS Temple at Logan, Utah. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During her life in Rock Springs, she was actively engaged in numerous positions in the MIA, Relief Society and Primary. Hobbies included crocheting, at which she was highly skilled and baking delicious pastries and rolls.The O'Very's moved to Salt Lake City in 1977 due to Clarence's failing health. He passed away on July 28, 1987.
Elizabeth is survived by her two daughters, Virginia (Nash) Healey, of Beaverton, Oregon; Melva (Darcie) White, of Salt Lake City; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family expresses its gratitude to the nurses, aides, housekeepers, maintenance men and dietician of the Highland Care Center for the conscientious and loving care given to Elizabeth while she was a patient there. A very special thanks also goes to Dr. Mary Jane Norman for her care and understanding.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 4, 1998, 11 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, where friends may call hour prior to services. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
