Elwood Elydor Jones, age 87, passed away March 1, 1998 at his home in North Salt Lake, Utah.

Born February 5, 1911 in Colonia, Dublan, Mexico, the son of Franklin Randlin and Mary Julia Pulsipher Jones. Married Fern Theresa Marshall, October 5, 1932 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death July 25, 1989. Worked with Griffin Wheel Co. for 25 years, Cudahy Meat Packing for seven years and as custodian at South Davis Jr. High for seven years. Active in the LDS Church, faithful home teacher. Served with his wife in the St. Louis Missouri Mission. Served with the Life Care Center LDS Branch for 17 years.Elwood is survived by his son, Ray and Donna Jones, of North Salt Lake; grandchildren, Janet Alvarado, Stephen Jones, Kristine Horsley, Sherilyn Jones, Jeannie Jones, Trisha Jones; brothers and sister, Charles Jones, Winnifred Tucker and LaMar Christensen. Preceded in death by his wife, daughter, Rhea, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Weds, March 4, 1998, 11 a.m. at the Val Verda 2nd Ward Chapel, 2651 South 500 West, Bountiful, where friends may call from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment Salt Lake City Cemetery.
