Ruth Marie Harrison passed away peacefully Thursday morning, the 26th of February, 1998 of natural causes, at Millcreek Care Center.

Born November 17, 1911 in Greenville, South Carolina to Tally H. and Lessie Sally Hudson. Married Earnest J. Blackwell in 1931, divorced in 1936. Married Walter C. Harrison April 2, 1940. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away June 15, 1964. She was active in the LDS Church and served many positions and especially loved being Primary President. She worked at Harmans Cafe KFC for 16 years and clerked at the Deseret Industry for many years.Survived by daughters, Gloria (Farrell) Larsen, Pamela (Bert) Christensen, Paula (Jerry) Brooks; sons, Michael H. Harrison, Brent (Nancy) Harrison; 30 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Morene Williams and Gladys Smith; and one brother, Lawrence Hudson. Preceded in death by three grandsons.

We want to express our love and appreciation for the loving care given our mother at the Sarah Daft Retirement Center for ten years and the Millcreek Care Center the last two and one-half years.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 3, 1998, 12 noon at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 South) where friends may call Monday evening March 2, 1998 from 7-8:30 p.m. and the day of the service from 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
