Q. We have enjoyed watching Robert Urich for years, but haven't seen or heard anything about him lately. Please let us know how his health is and when we will be able to see him on TV. - J.R., Virginia Beach, Va.

A. The resilient Urich has begun shooting his latest TV series, a six-episode pilot run of "The Love Boat: the Next Wave" to premiere on the UPN network April 13. He'll play Capt. Jim Kennedy on the revamped "Love Boat," his 12th regular series. His first was 1973's "Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice" on ABC. "Vega$" and "Spenser: For Hire" were his two biggest series hits. Since his bout with synovial sarcoma, a rare but treatable form of cancer, Urich has hosted "Boatworks" for PBS and the reality series "Vital Signs."Q. My husband and I are in disagreement about who played Stoney Burke. I say Jack Lord. Can you help? - C.N., Mesquite, Texas

A. Six years before he first said (or didn't say) "Book 'em, Danno," Jack Lord played rodeo rider Stoney Burke. The 1962 series, which co-starred Bruce Dern and Warren Oates, only lasted one season on ABC. Lord, 77, died in January. He'd lived in Honolulu ever since starring in the long-running "Hawaii Five-O."

Q. Friday night I tuned in to watch "Family Matters," which I hadn't seen for the last couple of weeks. There was a different actress playing Harriette, What happened to the original Harriette? - D.C., Campbell, Ga.

A. JoMarie Payton-Noble says she left her role as Harriette Winslow on "Family Matters" because, after nine seasons, she felt creatively stifled. She originated the Harriette Winslow character in 1986 on "Perfect Strangers." In 1989, she got her own series and sitcom family, but the Winslows quickly took a back seat to the show's popular Steve Urkel character. No word on what the actress's next project will be.

Q. My family and I are fans of "The Pretender." We have seen every episode yet have never caught Miss Parker's first name. Are we just forgetful, or has she ever been given a first name? - A.A., Stockton, Calif.

A. So far, Miss Parker, played by actress Andrea Parker, is just Miss Parker. Perhaps one more element of mystery in NBC's Saturday night suspense series.

Q. "Mystery Science Theatre 3000" has been recycling the same dozen or so shows for about a year. Are there any plans for new shows? - F.O., Pittsburgh, Pa.

A. Relief is in sight for fans of the show that skewers really bad science-fiction movies. Look for 13 new episodes of "Mystery Science Theater 3000" beginning March 14 on the Sci-Fi Channel.

Q. Every time I watch "Chicago Hope," I try to figure out where I've seen Dr. Lisa Catera (Stacy Edwards) before. Please help me out. - M.M., Dallas, Texas

A. Edwards has done a lot of TV, including the soap opera "Santa Barbara" (she was Hayley Benson Capwell), episodes of `L.A. Law," "21 Jump Street," "Quantum Leap," a 1991 midseason series called "Sons & Daughters," and numerous TV movies ("Born Beautiful," "Dinner at Eight"). Last year, she won good notices for her part in the Sundance Film Festival favorite "In the Company of Men." Later this month, she appears in the new Mike Nichols movie "Primary Colors."
