For the first time since nearly a ton of explosives disappeared from a northwestern Pennsylvania coal mine, Con Taylor can sleep peacefully.
Taylor is mayor of Sligo, a town of 1,000 people near the mine from which the explosives were stolen. He said fellow residents would be relieved as word spread that authorities caught three suspects in the theft."I hope they got the right guys and got all the stuff," Taylor said.
State police on Tuesday charged Jerry Willette, 20, and Ricky Morris, 18, and Marlin Bellesfield, 19, with felony burglary, theft and risking a catastrophe, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Wednesday.
