Charla Marie Niederhauser Johnston, 29, left this world with her husband, Erick and her daughter, Cassandra, on Sunday, February 22, 1998, as a result of a train/car accident in Clifton, Idaho.

She was born in Logan, Utah on Sept. 4, 1968 to Charles and Marva Lou Jenkins Niederhauser. She grew up in Providence, Utah and graduated from Mt. Crest High School. She was attending Utah State University and would have graduated this quarter.On February 14, 1991, she married Erick Gordon Johnston in Providence, Utah. They have lived in Hyrum, Utah since 1994. She was a loving mother to her two daughters and also several foster children. She worked part time at a day care center. She was a member of the LDS Church having served in several positions.

She is survived by her daughter, Tawni, age 4; her parents, Charles and Marva Niederhauser, Providence, Utah; brothers and sisters, Sylvia (Kim) Olson, North Ogden, Utah; Jay (Peggy) Niederhauser, Great Falls, Montana; Lu Ida (Courtney Lynn) Sorenson, Pleasant View, Utah; Alan (Rebecca) Neiderhauser, Kaysville, Utah; Nancy (Rick) Bodrero, Mesa, Arizona; Chris (Ronda) Niederhauser, Logan, Utah; and by her grandmother, Rose Niederhauser, Logan, Utah. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Anna Niederhauser and June and Sylvia Jenkins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998 at noon in the Providence Third Ward Chapel, 309 So. Main with Bishop Robert Henke conducting. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the church in Providence and Wednesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. also at the church. Burial will be in the Providence Cemetery. Arrangements are by Webb Funeral Home, Preston, Idaho.
