Our sweet loving mom, grandma and great grandma, Reva Lazenby Turnbow, returned to her Heavenly Home and a joyful reunion with loving family members who preceded her on February 19, 1998. Mom spent her life in service to others, often times at great personal sacrifice. Her life was not easy, but she never complained and always knew how to make those around her feel better.

Reva was born November 17, 1919 in Loa (Wayne County), Utah to Walter Lazenby and Mary Nadine Ames. As a young child she moved with her family to the Uinta Basin. Although by worldly standards the family had very little, Mom had very happy memories of growing up at the sawmill. On March 13, 1939 she married Laverl F. Turnbow in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They brought their family to Orem in 1949. A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she served in positions in all organizations of the church, served as the genealogist for her family organization, worked in the temple, and was a member of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed doing for her family and was a wonderful cook and seamstress. She loved unconditionally. She is survived by children: Richard B. Turnbow (Judy), Orem; Sharon T. Dillon, West Jordan; Garry V. Turnbow (Suzanne), Brighton, Colorado; and Diane Ferre (David), Orem; 21 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on December 29, 1989; a daughter, Judy; an infant grandson; son-in-law, Boyd A. Dillon; brothers and sisters, Ruby Morrell, Pearl Lazenby, Henry Lazenby, David Lazenby, Maryem Dockstader, Lemar Lazenby, Albert Lazenby, Nettie Defa, James Royal Lazenby, Walter Lazenby, Jay T. Lazenby, Ivan Lazenby, and four siblings who died in infancy. Mom was the last surviving member of a large family.

We are deeply grateful to a long list of loving caregivers, most recently an angelic woman, Mary Cisneros.
