Jerry Seinfeld already has fame and fortune. Now he may try to make it on Broadway.

The comedian plans to do a week or two of two-hour shows on Broadway after the end of the hit NBC sitcom "Seinfeld," the New York Post reported Sunday. The performances will be taped for an HBO special tentatively called, "I'm Telling You the Last Time," the newspaper said. A spokeswoman for the cable network told the Post that scenario is "premature."

But the newspaper said Seinfeld is making the rounds at Broadway theaters, looking for more than 1,100 seats for a run of at least a week.

The final episode of "Seinfeld" is scheduled to air May 14 after a nine-season run.
