Police charged an 8-year-old girl with attempted murder for allegedly pouring poison into her great-grandmother's drink because the two of them didn't get along.

"The investigation indicates it was purposely done," police Detective Steve Eppert said. "I guess you could call it a personality conflict."The girl, who remains in her mother's custody, pleaded innocent Friday and a pretrial hearing is scheduled Wednesday. Eppert identified her as Karen Martocchio of Columbus.

She was accused of pouring wintergreen oil into 76-year-old Virginia Dozier's soft drink Wednesday at the home they share with other family members.
