Crossroads Urban Center, Utahns Against Hunger and the Interfaith Hospitality Network are the recipients of funds generated locally by last year's CROP Walk. Checks will be presented during a meeting of CROP Walk personnel on Friday, Feb. 27 at 5 p.m. at the Homeless Youth Resource Center. The Rev. Julie Liggett, Rocky Mountain regional director of Church World Service, will make the presentation.

The annual CROP Walk, scheduled this year for Saturday, Oct. 17, is a national program that raises money for selected charitable organizations. Funds generated locally are returned to the community. The interdenominational event is drawing increasing numbers of LDS wards and stakes as participants, said spokesperson Leslie Reynolds. Rev. Liggett has met with LDS leaders in Salt Lake City, Idaho, New Mexico and Wyoming. This year, three LDS local stakes are participating along with 25 other congregations of several denominations, including Catholics, Protestants, Orthodox and Bahai.
