I am going to miss Don Gale's editorials on Channel 5. There is something to be said for hearing an editorial rather than reading it. He did a masterful job delivering his message.

There were quite a number of issues that I had a "contrasting point of view" but did not ever attempt to have them placed on the air because he required a "responsible person" to respond.Don Gale has particular mark and sway among us, partially because of his training in our class at East High School. He joins other notable classmates in their contribution to our community. Some of those were Elder Henry Eyring of the LDS Church's Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, Sen. Jake Garn, Sen. Bob Bennett, Rep. Jim Hansen and Magistrate Ronald Boyce.

If one could have heard Don Gale speak at our class reunions, the listener would have been surprised to find another side of Mr. Gale - his great wit.

He is far too young to be discarding his microphone.
