Poland wants the King of pop.

Michael Jackson's plans to build a $500 million amusement park on the site of a former Polish military airport won approval from state officials Friday.The Military Property Agency is taking over most of the Bemowo airport in Warsaw and plans to make it available to Jackson, spokesman Jan Bartyzel told the news agency PAP.

The reclusive pop star chose the site during a visit last year and is expected back in May to close the deal, said Jacques Tourel, Jackson's Warsaw representative. Jackson plans to open the 222-acre park by June 1, 1999
