Larry Baxter Green, 53, died Feb. 19, 1998 at home in Salt Lake City after a valiant fight against prostate cancer.

He will be missed by the many friends and family that loved him.Born April 27, 1944, twin number one, to Earl W. Green and Evelyn B. Green in Pasadena Calif. Married Elizabeth McLeod, June 1970, Los Angeles Temple. Later divorced. Married Suzette Davies, Sept. 1985, Salt Lake Temple. Larry served four years in the U.S. Air Force and graduated from fire fighting school in Greenville, MS in 1962. He received Letters of Commendation for rescuing officers from burning aircraft while serving as a fire fighter at Clark AFB, Philippine Islands. Larry spent two years serving an LDS mission in the British South Mission. He graduated with a (BFA) Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree from the Art Center College of Design, Los Angeles, in 1973. Active member of the LDS Church, he served in many positions including Stake YM Presidency, Stake Mission Presidency, Ward Mission leader, Ward Sunday School president, and 1st and 2nd counselor in bishopric. He loved and worked over 20 years with the youth and scouting, earning his Varsity Scout Wood Badge and the District Award of Merit from his colleagues. Larry worked for Office of Recovery Services for 13 years and worked as a family and commercial photographer most of his life, receiving art/photography awards.

Survived by wife, Suzette; children, Kevin (Mallory) Green, Jason Clary, Timothy (Cristy) Klein, Colin (Brandie) Green, Briana Klein, Kristi (Russ) Knaphus, Stephanie Klein, Cameron Green and Daniel Green; grandchildren, Justin, Isaac, Taryn, Hunter and Aubrey; father, Earl (Ellie) Green; brother, Willard (Jeannie) Green; twin, Garry (Cheryl) Green and sister, Dorothy (Roger) Lemmon. Preceded in death by mother and great-niece, Karli Sue.

Peoples feelings meant everything to Larry. He would say in parting...I love you...farewell.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 23, 1998 at 12 noon at the Jordan North 5th Ward, 3836 West 4100 So. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 So., and one hour prior to the services on Monday at the church. Interment: Murray City Cemetery, next to his mom.
