Andy Jensen scored 27 points and grabbed 11 rebounds Thursday night, leading Weber State to a 92-86 victory over Cal State Northridge.
Damien Baskerville had 20 points and six assists and Marc Lawson came off the bench to match his career high with 19 points for the Wildcats (12-11, 10-3 Big Sky). Lawson was a perfect 10-of-10 from the foul line.Trenton Cross led Cal State Northridge (9-14, 5-8) with 17 points. Greg Minor came off the bench to score 16 points and another pair of reserves - Brian Heinle and Carl Holmes - added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Weber State went on a 10-1 run to take an 82-68 lead with 21/2 minutes remaining. Minor made three 3-point shots and Cross added another in the late going to draw the Matadors within six points.
Northridge made 10-of-22 shots from 3-point range to just 2-of-8 for Weber State, but the Wildcats made 54.2 percent of their field goal attempts to 46.4 percent for Northridge and outrebounded the Matadors 37-28.
Both teams were accurate from the foul line - Weber State was 26-31, and Northridge was 24-29.
