Lula Bennett Peterson, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, returned to her Father in Heaven and loved one's that preceded her in death, Feb 17, 1998, peacefully from effects of old age, at the age of 83.

She was born February 21, 1914 in Holden, Utah, to Edward Bennett Jr. and Martha Estella Ashby Bennett. She married Lawrence Bartholomew Peterson, June 23, 1938 in the Salt Lake Temple, he passed away May 23, 1995.Lula was a wonderful help mate and companion, helping with farm work, cattle business, floral shop and as a gardener. Lula was a loving mother to her four children, and will be greatly missed by them, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an active member of the LDS Church, and held many positions which allowed her to share he strong testimony of the gospel. Lula and Lawrence were also active temple patrons for over 35 years.

She is survived by four children, Lester Bartholomew (Launa) Peterson, Sandy, Utah; David Ray (Bonnie) Peterson, Redmond, Utah; Nancy P. (Randy) Curtis, Sandy, Utah; Julie P. Allan, Fillmore, Utah; a brother, Fred A. Bennett, Holden, Utah; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Lula was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, infant daughter and her parents.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 20, 1998 at 1 p.m. at the Fillmore 4th Ward Chapel with Bishop Roper conducting. Family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. thursday evening at the Olpin Mortuary and 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the church, prior to funeral services. Interment Fillmore City Cemetery.
