Raymond William (Bill) Hopkins at age 67, passed into eternity on February 15, 1998 in Salt Lake City.

He was born on July 27, 1930 in Salt Lake City to Gilbert and Virla Hopkins. Bill married Nancy Duncan, divorced. Married Jean Hummer, divorced. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Bill was an agent for Mutual of Omaha for 30 years and semi-retired as a pawnbroker for Hy & Mike's Pawn. He was and enthusiastic golfer, billiards player, and skier. Serving on the National Ski Patrol for 35 years as an avalanche specialist. He was also an avid hunter, enjoyed trapping and "Mountain Man" activities, loved cooking and telling a good joke.He is survived by his daughters, Sherry (Sheryl) Nealon, Lisa (Dixie) Pedulla; son, Robert William Hopkins; brothers, Keith and Robert; sister, Lorraine Hopkins; eight loving grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and best friend Moose II. He is preceded in death by both parents, grandson, Russell William Ross and Moose I. Bill will be missed greatly by his many friends and loved ones.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 19,1998 at 12 noon at Evans and Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at the mortuary on Wednesday evening and Thursday prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at Mount Olivet Cemetery following the service.
