Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Lois Montgomery Lobb, 76, passed away February 14, 1998.

She was born April 17, 1921 in Nanton, Alberta, Canada, the daughter of Albert Austin Montgomery and Adeline Russell Montgomery. At four years of age her family moved to Whittier, Calif., where she remained until she met and married Robert Jethro Lobb June 14, 1945. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Salt Lake City to raise their family. Lois was an elementary school teacher for the Salt Lake and Granite School Districts for over 30 years, teaching at Dilworth, Oakridge, Libby Edwards and West Kearns schools. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and International Toastmaster. She was active in the Republic Party and several national committees. She received many local, national and Presidential awards. She loved teaching and watching young minds grow. She was often contacted by students to thank her for being an impact on their lives.Survived by two sons and one daughter, Craig (Nancy) Lobb, Richard (Julie) Lobb and Carolyn Lobb Larsen; her sister, Mary Montgomery Knupp; and nine grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Vola and brother Harvey.

"Mom, your gentle touch, warm smile and thoughtfulness will be missed. When Dad died in 1978, part of you left with him. The greatest gift you could give us and we could give you is knowing you're with him and safe in his arms once again on Valentine's Day."

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, February 19, 1998 in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive, where friends may call on Thursday from 10-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
