Albert Urie Andrew, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, passed away on Feb. 15, 1998, surrounded by his loved ones. He is finally at peace, after a valiant fight against cancer.

Albert was born April 18, 1924, to Albert Fisher Andrew and Janet Forsythe Urie in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from South High School and attended Utah State University. He fulfilled a mission in the Western States Mission. Married Lois Norita Foote on February 1, 1950 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were divorced in 1979, but remain dear friends. Married Ruth Tanner Morrison on April 6, 1979.As a carpenter, Albert spent his life in the construction trades. He was well respected as an expert craftsman and leader in his field. Albert touched the lives of many people with his ability to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His life was one of service to his family, friends and the elderly, with whom he spent many hours visiting and serving.

Albert will be missed by wife, Ruth; children, Albert Lynn Andrew and wife, Nancy; Shauna and husband, Matt Brady; Lyle Warren Andrew; Marlene Andrew; 12 grandchildren; stepchildren, Marvetta King, Las Vegas, NV; Sandra Green, Scottsdale, AZ; Joe Morrison, Salt Lake city, Utah; nine stepgrandchildren and seven who adopted him as their father and grandfather; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 20 at 12 noon at the Miller Ward Chapel, 3219 South 300 East. Family and friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, and Friday 11-11:40 a.m. at the church. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
