Avon Hintze Murdock died February 14, 1998.
She was born March 20, 1916, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Florence Martin Boyes Hintze and Joseph Ferdinand Hintze. Married Stanley A. Murdock August 18, 1950.Graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S. degree in education and was an enthusiastic and caring teacher at Madison Elementary School for 44 years. She enjoyed family, friends, wildflowers, opera and gambling trips to Wendover.
Survived by daughter, Ann M. Blanchard; son-in-law, Craig Blanchard; stepson, Marvin G. Murdock of New Jersey; sisters, Louise H. (Lenard) Eliason, and Ruth Hintze; brother, Bruce B. (Jean) Hintze. Preceded in death by parents, husband, brothers Sterling Hintze and Milton J. (Lois) Hintze.
Avon loved life and hated funerals, and is particularly sorry to be at this one. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 18, at the Holladay Memorial Park, 4900 So. Memory Lane (1990 East). Friends may call from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at MacKay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 So. Highland Drive.
