Divers recovered the bodies of three men Saturday who died late Friday when their snowmobiles plunged through the ice on a Lake Michigan bay near Gladstone, Mich., authorities said.

The Delta County, Mich., Sheriff's Department identified the victims as Tony Englund, 24, Michael Gieryk Jr, 24, and Shawn Chroge, 23 of Gladstone, a community of 4,500 on the southside of the upper Michigan peninsula.A fourth snowmobiler, Brian Deiter, 26, was pulled from the water and treated for hypothermia at an Escanaba, Mich., hospital. He was released Saturday.

The Sheriff's Department, which oversaw the recovery efforts, said five men were crossing the bay at about 10 p.m. CST when the accident happened.
