Three newly renovated buildings at Fort Douglas will be dedicated during an Armed Forces Day ceremony Saturday.
The buildings are being named after three deceased soldiers, Col. Theron Draper, Maj. Gen. Franklin McKean and Warrant Officer James Bungard, who served in the 96th Army Reserve Command, headquartered at Fort Douglas. The widows of the three soldiers plan to participate in the dedication ceremony, said Sgt. Randy Frank.
Lt. Gen. James E. Moore Jr., 6th Army Commander, will speak following a 1 p.m. parade of Army Reserve soldiers from the 162nd Support Group, 426th Medical Group, 328th General Hospital, 143rd Medical Detachment and 79th Pathfinder infantry platoon.
