Change is inevitable. Even here at the Deseret News.

So we'd like our readers to know the following changes are in the works:

Lee Davidson will shift his byline to Washington, D.C., in November to replace the paper's longtime Washington correspondent, Gordon Eliot White, who is retiring. White, however, will continue to do some writing for the Deseret News on a part-time basis.

Assistant City Editor Ray Boren will leave the city desk to become the Today section associate editor; assignments editor Pam Wade will assume the duties of associate city editor; and sports make-up editor Richard Evans has been appointed assistant sports editor. All three changes will be effective July 1.
