A Salt Lake cellular telephone company will donate the use of six of their mobile telephones to help stranded motorists during the Memorial Day weekend.

According to a press release, Cellular One is donating the use of the mobile phones to the Utah Highway Patrol. Along I-15 in Salt Lake and Utah counties, UHP troopers will allow stranded motorists to make calls for assistance on the telephones.Owners of mobile phones are encouraged to report drunk drivers, criminal activities and hazardous road conditions by dialing 911.
