Two assistant professors of management will receive outstanding teaching awards for their work in the University of Utah School of Business and College of Business.

They are Joan M. Lally, who will receive the Outstanding Teaching Award for the Graduate School of Business, and Scott T. Young, who will receive the Outstanding Teaching Award for the College of Business.Dr. John W. Seybolt, business school dean, said these awards honor faculty who "have shown extraordinary dedication and commitment to excellence in the field of education." They will receive their $1,000 cash and plaques during the June 10 business school convocation.

In addition to her work in private business, Lally is a cum laude graduate of Southern Connecticut State College. She earned her master's and Ph.D degrees at the U. of U.

Young received a journalism degree from the University of Georgia, a master's degree from Georgia College and a Ph.D. degree from Georgia State University.
