Yoko Ono, who sued the Nike shoe company for using the Beatles song "Revolution," permitted a Japanese company to use John Lennon's song "Imagine" in an advertisement featuring Ono, a company spokesman said Tuesday.

Ono, Lennon's widow, and their son, Sean, play catch in a New York park to the accompaniment of Lennon's trademark song in the television ad for Kokusai Denshin Denwa, Japan's long-distance telephone company."Yoko gave us the OK to use `Imagine,"' said Seiji Fukuda, KDD's assistant public relations manager. "It is the first time `Imagine' has aired on TV as a commercial."

Ono, 55, was paid between $320,000 and $400,000 for the commercial, a Japanese weekly magazine, the Shukan Shincho, reported. The company refused to confirm the figure.
