The proximity to the Salt Lake International Airport and the skiing available in Park City are the town's greatest assets, according to a survey conducted by the Park City Chamber of Commerce, the Park City Convention and Visitors Bureau and Gillham Advertising.

The study determined the number of people who visited Park City after receiving the town's promotional materials, discovered why the visitors chose Park City and rated the quality of their visit. Of the 1,000 responses to the survey, 400 were tabulated.The survey showed that 43.5 percent of those who received literature on Park City visited during the just-completed ski season and for 73.3 percent it was their first visit to Park City.

The reason listed most often as influencing the visitor's decision to visit Park City was recommendation of friends. Previous visits was the second most popular reason. All but 2.5 percent of the people polled said they would return to Park City.
