Two transients discovered a man's body in an industrial section near downtown Salt Lake City Saturday night, Salt Lake Police Lt. Tom Brown said.

Authorities could not identify the body because of its decomposed state but said it was that of a white male about 30 years old, Brown said. There were no signs of trauma to indicate foul play, but a medical examiner investigation could reveal the actual cause of death, Brown said.

The body, clad in blue jeans and a field jacket, was found in the Sixth West are near North Temple among some weeds, Brown said.
