A man accused of drunken driving in a traffic accident that killed a pedestrian last summer has been ordered to appear in 3rd District Court.

During a preliminary hearing Thursday, 3rd Circuit Judge Roger Livingston ruled there was probable cause to try Daniel Archuletta, 24, on a third-degree felony charge of vehicular homicide.Archuletta is accused of being intoxicated while driving a car that struck and killed Manuel Maestas in a crosswalk at 200 N. Third West on July 1, 1987.
