Pilots and aircraft of the Air Force Reserve's 419th Tactical Fight Wing left for Denmark Saturday for three weeks of training, the Air Force says.

Eight pilots flew their F-16 fighter planes non-stop to Denmark, while support personnel and equipment was flown by transport plane. They will participate in a tactical deployment exercise dubbed Coronet Castle, the Air Force said. The members of the 419th will train with other Air Force Reservists as well as active-duty NATO units.

Coronet Castle is part of a larger exercise, called Checkered Flag, in which tactical aircraft based in the United States will be deployed in Europe, Alaska and Pacific nations.
