Four college and university students have been named Deseret News interns and will work for the paper this summer.

They are Lori M. Bona, University of Utah; Coral Lou Glenn, Weber State College; Dan M. Pambianco, Utah State University; and Brian T. West, Brigham Young University.The Deseret News internship program benefits both the student and the Deseret News. Each student will return to his or her school next fall to use the expertise gained in the professional journalism field.

West has been copy chief, night editor and editor-in-chief of the Daily Universe at BYU. He has also worked as a part-time radio announcer.

Pambianco, a junior with a 3.93 grade-point average, has worked for the Spring Valley Gazette, the Logan Herald and United Press International. He is currently a correspondent for the Deseret News in Logan.

Glenn has been assistant and chief news editor for the Weber State College Signpost. She has served an internship at the Box Elder News and Journal, a weekly newspaper in Brigham City.

Bona has worked for the U.'s Daily Utah Chronicle as senior reporter and campus editor.

In addition to their salaries, the interns will each receive a $500 scholarship from the Deseret News toward completion of their schooling.
