Three West Valley men were jailed Wednesday after a man whose truck had been stripped saw two men carrying his truck tires into a pawn shop.

It wasn't until after the truck owner, James Bennett, went to the police station and reported seeing two men trying to sell his tires that he returned to the truck and found that his engine, radiator and battery had also been stolen.

Police recovered some of the truck parts and arrested two men, ages 18 and 22, at a pawn shop on Redwood Road. Officers later searched a house where more parts were recovered and a 19-year-old man was arrested, according to a police report.

The truck had been parked in front of 1482 W. Shelly, where Bennett lived until two weeks ago. A boat motor was stolen Monday night and the truck was stripped Tuesday, according to information given to police.
