Widely scattered showers are forecast for Utah Tuesday and Wednesday, but weather will dry out by the end of the week.

William J. Alder, meteorologist in charge of the Salt Lake office of the National Weather Service, said scattered showers are expected to fall statewide Tuesday.Temperatures along the Wasatch Front should be in the mid-60s Monday, upper 60s Tuesday and in the 70s the rest of the week. The temperature reached 65 degrees Sunday, with a low of 47 degrees Monday morning at the Salt Lake International Airport.

Alder said the May 15 reading by the U.S. Geological Survey of the Great Salt Lake showed the lake level at 4,206.65 feet above sea level, the same as May 1.

On April 1 and 15 the lake was 4,208.80 feet above sea level.
