The Utah Division of Indian Affairs plans to help Bob Hope celebrate his birthday May 29 at the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City during a $100-donation per plate dinner in the comedian's honor.
Proceeds from the event, to be attended by Hope and other actors and sports figures, will go toward Division of Indian Affairs projects, the division said.Limited seating can be reserved by contacting the division at 538-3046.
The following day, the 7th annual Great American Indian Shoot Out at Jeremy Ranch will be held. Along with Hope, pro golfers Johnny Miller and Rod Curl will hit the links to raise money for American Indian scholarships.
The public is invited to join in the fun for a $1,000 donation to the scholarship fund. A few spots are still available by contacting Dick Cheney, 485-8451, the division said.
