A University of Utah symposium, "Understanding the Japanese Goals, Interests and Doubts," will be held May 19-20 in the Olpin Union.

The symposium is sponsored by the U. and the Intermountain Pacific Rim Trade Project, or IMPART, for business people, the community and students statewide. Sessions will examine current and future trade relations between Japan and the United States, including problems of cross-cultural perceptions.Registration begins Friday at 9 a.m. in the alumni lounge.
