Tours and presentations on Temple Square will be revised as of May 15. According to Ralph O. Bradley, director of Temple Square, there will no longer be seven tours.

Under the new program only one tour, the Temple Square Tour, will be offered. It will begin every 10 minutes at the flagpole and will replace the historical tour. The tour will include the historical significance of the Square and will proceed to the Tabernacle for an acoustical demonstration. It will also include a visit to the Christus in the North Visitor's Center.Tours that have been canceled are The Prophets, The Life of Christ and Christ in America. Visitors will now be welcome to browse at their leisure through the galleries of the Old and New Testament and view the murals.

In the South Visitor's Center, the Book of Mormon and the Purpose of Temples tours will still be given but will be called presentations. Other presentations will be held in the Assembly Hall, the Tabernacle and in the North Visitor's Center.

In conjunction with the tour revisions, the opening hours have been extended from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
