Air quality, home hazardous waste, education and housing issues will be priorities for the League of Women Voters of Utah for 1989-91.

Delegates to the league's recent biennial state convention in Park City voted to support immediate compliance with federal air quality standards in Utah and to promote economic development through quality public and higher education.Educating citizens about the identification and proper disposal of home hazardous wastes was also made a priority, as was a study of the availability of decent, affordable housing.

State officers elected to two-year terms were co-presidents Pat Braun and Terri McCulloch, from Weber County, and directors Lea Cotter, Carbon County, and Karil Frohboese, Salt Lake County.
