Drum and guitar clinics, free and open to the public, are scheduled at Wagstaff Music, 206 E. 64th South, Murray, featuring artists Don Famularo and Frank Gambale.
Famularo, author, educator and clinician, will present a drum clinic at 7 p.m. Monday evening. Famularo, founder of the Music Incentive Workshop Program, has performed with such musicians as Santana, Bobby and the Midnites, the Barney Kessell Trio, Elliot Randall (Carly Simon) and Chuck Level. His clinics encourage students to play with feeling and develop their own individuality and style.Gambale will present a guitar clinic at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 31. Gambale came to the United States to study guitar five years ago and graduated from the Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood as "Student of the Year." Gambale was tapped by the group Berlin and also toured with Jean-Luc Ponty. Since 1986 he has been a steady member of Chick Corea's Elektric Band. Gambale has written two instruction books and has recorded two solo albums.
