Two men accused of swindling investors in their Ogden securities firm out of $181,000 were ordered to stand trial on 15 fraud counts, 2nd Circuit Court officials said.

Robert George Johnson, 41, South Ogden, and Blake W. Adams, 36, Gilbert, Ariz., will be arraigned May 24 before 2nd District Judge David Roth. The two operated the Johnson-Adams Corp., collecting money from investors in 1984 with promises of a 200 percent return within two months, said Utah Attorney General Paul Van Dam.

But, instead of paying returns, the company issued worthless stock, prosecutors said.

The two were charged with seven counts each of securities fraud and selling unregistered securities, plus one count each of employing an unregistered securities agent.
