Comedian Eddie Murphy is being sued for $75 million by an actress who contends he fired her from a film because she spurned his advances.

Michael Michele Williams, a 22-year-old New York City actress who performs under the name Michael Michele, also sued Paramount Pictures over her dismissal from the soon-to-be released Murphy picture "Harlem Nights."Williams claimed that she was removed from the proposed television version of Murphy's hit film "Coming to America," so she could appear opposite him in "Harlem Nights," a film that he is also producing and directing.

On the set of "Harlem Nights," Murphy "made consistent, personal overtures" that Williams "did not desire," the lawsuit said.

Murphy tried "to fondle and otherwise caress" Williams and had her fired "when it became clear" that she "would not accede to his sexual demands," the lawsuit said.

"There's absolutely no basis" to the allegations, said Murphy's manager, Bob Wachs. "She was let go because of artistic differences."
