Organizations preparing to enter a float in this year's Grand Parade of America's Freedom Festival at Provo are invited to attend a float-building workshop at 7 p.m. May 24 in the Provo City Council Chambers, 359 W. Center.

Sketches, colored slides, movies and demonstrations will be used to show the various steps of building a float.A 49-page colored float catalog containing more than 100 float designs and ideas will be given to each group attending, free of charge. The workshop is free to the public, and refreshments will be served.

Twenty years ago July, Neil Armstrong placed the American flag on the moon, and that picture is the logo for the 1989 Freedom Festival. The Grand Parade theme is "One Small Step," taken from the quote, "One small step for man and one giant leap for mankind."
