Purchasing and the law is the subject of a seminar the National Association of Purchasing Management will hold June 8-9 in the Red Lion Hotel.

The seminar is designed for purchasing professionals seeking a basic understanding of contract law and the Uniform Commercial Code. Robert A. Holmes, an attorney and director of the Purchasing Law Institute, will speak on how to form valid binding contracts, how to use the UCC in seeking remedies and how the law affects purchasing decisions.
