For the second consecutive year, the president of the Utah Advertising Federation has been named president of the year and the local organization was named club of the year by the American Advertising Federation.

Joanne Wiseman, an account executive for Borders, Perron & Norrander/Intermountain advertising agency, received the honor. Last year, Jim Brown, president of Gardner, a marketing company, was honored. Wiseman is the second woman president in the UAF's 80-year history.Competing against clubs with membership of 250-499, the UAF is among 244 advertising clubs and federations in the AAF contest.

The individual and club awards will be presented at the national organization's conference in Washington, D.C., in June.

The competition includes the group's performance in the categories of programs, member professional development, education, community and public service and legislative relations.
