For the first time since her rape and beating, a Central Park jogger was upgraded Tuesday to serious, as reports of threats to her accused attackers and their lawyers sparked tightened court security.

The 28-year-old Wall Street investment banker has maintained a 99.7-degree temperature, is now able to name objects and is expected to undergo facial surgery next week to repair her smashed eye socket, said Dr. Robert Kurtz, director of surgery at Metropolitan Hospital.One of the youths charged in the two-hour "wilding" rampage through a moonlit Central Park, Jermain Robinson, 15, has been freed on $15,000 bail, a law enforcement source said.
