The American Association for State and Local History is offering grants-in-aid of up to $5,000 for research into community, local, state and regional history.

Offered by the association with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Utah State Historical Society, the competition is open to individuals and organizations, historical institutions, museums, libraries, colleges and universities of any size.The object of the competition is to foster understanding of the history and culture of states, regions and local areas through original research that will culminate in new knowledge or new interpretations.
