Weber State College won the Big Sky Conference men's tennis championships Saturday by sweeping a pair of matches against Boise State and Montana State.

The three-day event in Boise was slated to end Sunday with final-round matches. It was the seventh straight year the Wildcats, under the direction of Keith Cox, have won the league tennis title.Weber State upended Boise State, 7-2, to begin the day and then faced the tournament's only other unbeaten team in Montana State. The Wildcats held a 4-2 advantage after the singles matches and then won two of the three doubles matches for a 6-3 victory and a team record of 4-0.

Montana State could take second if it beats Montana on Sunday. Regardless of how Weber fares against Nevada-Reno, it assumes the title because the best Montana State could finish with is an identical 4-1 record, although it lost to Weber.

Other third-round results Saturday had Nevada-Reno upending Montana, 7-2, and Montana State beating Idaho, 6-3. The other afternoon matches saw Boise State shutting out Montana, 9-0, and Nevada-Reno defeating Idaho, 6-3.
