The Salt Lake Golden Eagles finally know when and where they'll start their third straight Turner Cup championship series.
It's at Muskegon on Tuesday night. The two-time defending-champion Eagles will leave about noon Monday for the Michigan city where they are winless this season but where they wrapped up their first IHL title two years ago.
Muskegon defeated Fort Wayne 5-2 Saturday night at home to win that semifinal series four games to two.
Scott Gruhl, Kevin MacDonald, Dave Michayluk and Jeff Daniels scored for the Lumberjacks, who were the regular-season champions with the Eagles finishing second overall.
Muskegon has the home advantage because the Lumberjacks beat the Eagles four times and the Eagles beat them twice during the season.
The series schedule has the Eagles at Muskegon Tuesday and Friday, and then the 2-3-2 series comes back to the Salt Palace for Games 3, 4 and 5, if necessary, on Saturday, Wednesday (17) and Friday (May 19).
If Games 6 and 7 are necessary, they would be Saturday, May 20, and Monday, May 22.
The Eagles won their second Turner Cup last season in Flint on May 22.
Salt Lake wrapped up its semifinal series Thursday with its fourth straight win over the Milwaukee Admirals and took that series four games to one.
