LARAMIE, Wyo. (UPI) - Utah native Robert A. Jenkins, professor of zoology-physiology, is the recipient of the 25th annual George Duke Humphrey Distinguished Faculty Award at the University of Wyoming.
The presentation will be made May 15, during the 98th spring commencement exercises, the university announced. The Humphrey Award recognizes teaching effectiveness, distinction in scholarly work and distinguished service to the university and state. It includes a $2,800 cash prize.A native of Logan, Utah, Jenkins earned a bachelor's degree in secondary education at Utah State University in 1952, a master's in general science at Syracuse University in 1961 and a doctorate in cell biology at Iowa State University in 1964.
